Detailed 4D ultrasound is an advanced examination performed between weeks 18-23 of pregnancy, in which all of the baby's organs and systems are scanned in detail. In the same session, you can watch your baby's face and movements in real time with 4D imaging.
What Is Examined?
- Structure of the brain, heart, spine, kidneys and all internal organs
- Hand, foot and face development (cleft lip-palate screening)
- Placenta location and amniotic fluid amount
- Growth measurements and blood flow (Doppler) evaluation
Why Is It Important?
Detailed ultrasound enables early detection of most congenital anomalies. Early diagnosis is critical for planning further tests when necessary, timing the delivery and preparing for the newborn.
